Description
The Arai quality is combined with the Drudi Performance graphics in this exclusive sporty riding helmet, with just 300 examples available each year for export, and the option of customizing the design at the back (check out the details on the website www.ducatisumisura.com ). External shell, made of aeronautically-inspired carbon fiber bonded with a special resin that lends it high resistance. Its eleven layers are expertly assembled by hand, in a process that requires an entire working day. The patented “Peripherally Belted” reinforcement fiber strap along the upper section of the eye opening maximizes its safety. Superior comfort and performance, thanks to the patented EPS inner shell with differentiated density areas, optimized ventilation to guarantee maximum stability and efficiency at high speeds, and variable visor axis system technology, which extends the field of vision when riding at any angle. The ultimate practicality of the helmet is also ensured by the opening mechanism of the visor, emulating the motor racing version, and by the detachable inner lining in superior hypoallergenic fabric. Product Detail
Outside- CFC carbon fiber shell reinforced with Zylon. Exclusive technology developed by Arai that uses latest generation carbon fibers developed for aviation use. The fibers are bonded with special Arai resins and reinforced with a band specifically oriented for the dispersion of energy through the shell surface. In the front this band increases the shell strength without adding thickness or weight, and allows for the use of a thinner inner padding thus improving the field of view looking upwards, particularly useful on the track.
Inside- Removable interior in Eco-Pure® fabric with very limited frame area
- Emergency Release Cheek Pads: both cheek pads and the neck roll can be removed in seconds thanks to the advanced Emergency Release System. Rescue and medical workers can easily remove the newly designed removable neck roll and the cheek pads by just pulling the pad release tabs. This offers extra room within the helmet, making removal of the helmet much easier and minimizing the risk of additional injury
- Facial Contour System (FCS). A foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds makes putting the helmet on easier. The cheek pad wraps under the jaw- and cheekbone instead of mostly on the soft cheek area. FCS offers a looser fit with secure support over a larger area providing superior stability and comfort with minimal pressure
Visor- Wider visor for a perfect peripheral vision. The wider visor aperture gives better visibility on bends
- CE-approved thermoformed visor, scratchproof and anti fog
- VAS Visor (patented) with V-shield base plate, 5mm longer and 10mm wider than the previous model
Plus- Diffuser with improved aerodynamics for high speed stability and drag
- Top ventilation IC duct 5 with improved air flow efficiency by 11% compared to previous model
- Side Duct 6 with aerodynamic edge to improve high speed stability
- Arai Side Air Channel (ASAC). Air suction from eye port to side duct
- Ventilation with new slide shutter: reduced wind noise, improved durability and waterproofing
- Racing closure with D-ring fastening, with button to secure the strap
- Replaceable Vented Neck roll. Easily removed and re-installed for thorough washing or replacement. With neck exhaust to enhance hot-air extraction from the interior. Increases the ventilation effect at the lower part of the helmet
- The Ducati Corse Carbon 2 helmet can be personalized on the back with wording that is a maximum of 7 cm long by 1 cm high. Contact your area manager for more information.
